 M-80's explode Locals tavern!

The M-80’s are comprised of some very talented musicians who perform great 80’s rock the way it was intended to be heard. This band rocks out like they were born during the era! Kelly Godfrey handles many of the vocals for the M-80’s and she can flat out perform the full range of 80’s super hits. She has a sexy and visceral stage presence that really lends itself well to the genre. Listening to her version of “we got the beat” by the Go-Go’s was like being transported back in time. Their bass player, Eric Brooker handled some very complex and challenging songs from “Billy Idol” and I was duly impressed with his vocal range. These songs defined a decade and I felt this band definitely did them justice. The M-80’s have excellent crowd interaction and you can definitely tell that they love being on stage. Their lead guitarist, Gregg Lombardo played a rendition of Poison’s “talk dirty to me” that would have made CC Deville stand up an applaud. Drummer Terry Lee plays like Tommy lee from Motley Crue and I truly thought he was going to blow the drum heads out before they finished their first set list. Key boardist Vinnie Vee supplied a thick, rich atmosphere of 80’s decadence that was truly awe inspiring. What this band does is simply create an atmosphere of fun that is unmatched and extends far beyond the dance floor. The M-80’s capture the feel and vibe of the 80’s. This band’s energy and sound is a testament to a decade that defined the motto: “aint looking for nothing but a good time.” That’s why the M-80’s are Cape Fear Rocks hot pick of the week!
