Spotlight on "Southern trouble"

Alright, two weeks in a row at the same club is not exactly the way I like it when reviewing bands. but there was an overwhelming desire from our readers for me to check out this band called Southern trouble. So on Saturday night I headed out to local’s tavern not knowing what to expect, As always I kept an open mind and an open bar tab. I’m just going to say it….When the band first took the stage, I wasn’t expecting very much, but these boys came to play! The Southern trouble Band has not been performing their brand of southern rock and modern country in the Cape Fear area very long but I’m sure this band of talented musicians will be around for many years to come. "It is nice to finally hear a band "playing" Southern Rock and modern country and not obsessed with "Copying" the original artist’s sound. 99% of the bands who play these songs are so damn obsessed with copying the songs note for damn note that they lose sight of what it is they are doing. Southern trouble is definitely the opposite of all that. These boys take the stage and within just a few songs you will know you are in for a great evening of live music. The lead singer, Tony Mclamb admitted to me before the show that he was just recovering from the flu and was worried about his vocals. Well, I can tell you that his vocals were incredible, as was the entire performance by the band. This was truly one the best nights of live southern rock and modern country I’ve ever heard. You will be hard pressed to find another band that performs with the talent, passion, and intensity that these guys bring to the stage and I think anyone who was at local’s tavern Saturday night would agree.

Southern trouble are obviously enjoying playing the songs in their set list and are not just going through the motions like so many other local bands. "They delivered an authentic and raw performance rivaling any other band I’ve ever reviewed." These guys are talented, energetic, and passionate about what they do. I would like to say thank you guys for making my second week in a row at Local’s tavern a memorable one! So, if raw gritty southern rock and modern country is what you crave, then definitely check out Southern trouble. You’ll be glad you did!

We are very proud of our nephew LT who has loved music sense he was 4 years old, when he would memorize the music on the radio and sing the songs for the family without the radio later. Good Luck Southern Trouble with many success in the future.
